Digital Wallets offer a convenient, secure way to pay in person or online. To make purchasing eligible medical and commuter expenses even easier, you can now add your HealthEquity debit card to Apple Wallet®, Google Wallet™, or Samsung Wallet®—ensuring your card is ready anytime, anywhere.
What is a Digital Wallet?
Digital Wallets allow you to securely store payment information to your mobile phone or smart device—from debit and credit cards to transit passes, gift cards, and more. Once a payment method is saved, you can simply tap your smart device to make secure, contactless payments to compatible card readers which accept your Digital Wallet.
How to get started
To add your HealthEquity debit card to your Digital Wallet:
Open your preferred Digital Wallet app.
Add your card information as prompted.
Follow the steps to verify your information.
Once your card is added, you can pay for eligible expenses with just a tap. To make a payment in-store, just open your Wallet, select the HealthEquity card, and hold your device up to the card reader. Wait for the checkmark to display confirming your transaction was processed. You don’t need a PIN to pay with your card, so if prompted for one, select ‘credit’ to bypass the PIN request.
Digital Wallet Tip
A Digital Wallet is just another payment option, so the same rules that apply to your physical card apply to Digital Wallet payments. You can only use the Wallet to pay for eligible medical and commuter expenses and cannot receive money to your HealthEquity account using Apple Cash®, PayPal™, Venmo®, Zelle®, and other payment apps.
