A passkey is a secure login credential stored on your device. Instead of entering a password, you'll use your fingerprint, face scan, or device PIN to log in.¹

Passkeys are phishing-resistant, fast, and tied to your personal device—making it easier and safer to access your benefits.

When passkey is enabled for your account, you'll be prompted during login to complete setup using the HealthEquity Mobile app, the EZ Receipts app, or both—depending on your benefits.²

You won’t be able to access your account until passkey setup is complete—but the process is quick and secure.

Download the mobile app
Download the HealthEquity Mobile or EZ Receipts app — whichever applies to your benefits — to get started.³
Enter your username and password
Start by entering your existing credentials. Security checks run in the background to keep your account protected.
Verify your identity
Choose a verification method (text or voice call) and enter the one-time code to confirm it’s you.
Create your passkey
Your device will walk you through passkey creation using built-in security — like face ID, fingerprint, or your device’s PIN.¹
You're in!
Once complete, your passkey is saved for future logins — fast, secure, and password-free.

Tip: Turn on mobile app notifications to ensure you see your passkey prompt when it’s time to set up.

²Passkey set up is also available online using a desktop, laptop or tablet computer. A valid phone number is required to register a passkey. SSO login does not require passkey, but direct use of mobile or web login does require passkey. HealthEquity offers multiple authentication options to ensure accessibility.
