Yes. If you have a benefits plan that uses both apps, you’ll need to set up a passkey separately for each.¹ Follow the app download guide here.
Can my spouse, partner, family member, or another person I trust use my passkey to access my account?
HealthEquity accounts are designed for individual use, and passkeys are tied to your personal device and biometric login—such as fingerprint, Face ID, or device PIN.² We don’t recommend ever sharing your login credentials, however, if you decide to, you must designate them as an authorized user.
Once your mobile app and passkey are set up, some password managers—like Google Password Manager, iCloud Keychain, Dashlane, and 1Password—allow secure passkey sharing between trusted users. However, any shared access should be handled with caution and explicit consent. To explore this passkey sync option, check the settings in your password or passkey manager on your device.³
What should I do if I’m locked out of my account and don’t have a passkey?
You will need a mobile or landline phone on your profile in your account to complete identity verification in passkey set up. If you’d like to speak with someone directly, HealthEquity’s support team is available at 844.373.6979 to assist with passkey or login questions. A dedicated team will review your situation and assist where possible.
¹Passkey set up is also available online using a desktop, laptop or tablet computer. A valid phone number is required to register a passkey. SSO login does not require passkey, but direct use of mobile or web login does require passkey. HealthEquity offers multiple authentication options to ensure accessibility.
